要接觸食品的東西需要滿足食品級要求，那麼抽紙如果做食品級具體怎麼測試，測試什麼東西呢？
紙張AP (2002)1，歐盟食品級測試項目如下：
1、五氯苯酚 Pentachlorophenol (PCP)
2、防腐效力 Preserving effect
冷熱水中重金屬釋出量（Pb、Cd、Hg） Extractable heavy metal(Pb, Cd, Hg) in cold water or hot water
3、螢光物質 (有四種類比液根據實際使用情況選擇) Fluorescent matter
紙和紙板(176.170)，美國FDA食品級測試項目如下：
1、水萃取的氯仿可溶萃取物（除酒精飲料外濕性或脂肪性食物） Net chloroform soluble extractives for water fraction (wet or fatty foods except for alcoholic beverage)
2、8%乙醇萃取的氯仿可溶萃取物 （酒精濃度<8%飲料） Net chloroform soluble extractives for 8 % alcohol fraction(alcohol content <8%)
3、50%乙醇萃取的氯仿可溶萃取物 （酒精濃度>8%飲料） Net chloroform soluble extractives for 50% alcohol fraction(alcohol content >8%)
4、正庚烷萃取的氯仿可溶萃取物（油包水、表面有遊離油脂食物） Net chloroform soluble extractives for n-heptane fraction (water in oil, or containing free oil or fat)
