加拿大於7月宣布最新通報政策，若於2012年間生產、進口或是大量使用含有塑化劑之產品，將依照塑化劑於產品中之濃度以及總體塑化劑使用量來決定廠商是否需要進行通報。其規定需進行通報的情況為：
1. 廠商若於2012年間製造之產品含有表一所列之塑化劑，其塑化劑總重大於100kg，且產品中塑化劑的含量大於0.001%的重量百分比
2. 廠商若於2012年間進口產品中含有表一所列之塑化劑，其塑化劑總重大於100kg，且產品中塑化劑的含量大於0.001%的重量百分比，產品亦符合下列任一情形

意欲讓6歲以下的兒童使用

意欲會接觸到人的黏膜(例:胃腸黏膜)

意欲會接觸到食物或飲料，除非接觸的部位是玻璃，不銹鋼或陶瓷所組成

化妝品或照護產品的包裝材料

在使用過程中刻意釋放物質，且可能為人體所吸收或皮膚接觸

衣服或鞋子

住宅用的家具或擺飾，且包含於紡織品中

住宅用的塑膠地板

家用的電子設備
3. 廠商若於2012年間使用的產品或混合物中含有表一所列之塑化劑，其塑化劑總重大於1000kg，且產品中塑化劑的含量大於0.001%的重量百分比，目的是用來製造產品或半成品。
