多溴二苯醚為常用的阻燃劑，是消防器材常見防火材，惟具干擾體內荷爾蒙之正常運作，環保署加嚴管制多溴二苯醚類物質（列管編號091，序號02至08）自105年1月1日起禁止使用於製造電子產品之阻燃劑，將大量降低多溴二苯醚於國內使用量。
