由於舊標準EN 50088即將在2008年失效，在2008年後就必須使用IEC

62115新的標準。此標準有如下幾點較不同於EN 50088的地方：

   1. 將LED及Laser納入且須通過IEC 60825-1的標準要求 

   2. 玩具的適用範圍將實驗型玩具（Experimental Toy）納入標準

   3. 機構部分的測試要求改用ISO 8124-1取代原標準EN71

   4. 玩具的變壓器需通過IEC 61558-2-7的認證

   5. 實驗型的玩具需標示 Warning: Only for use by children

     aged 8 years and older，同時需提供詳細的安裝與使用手冊

   6. 此標準不適用如下的玩具：

      Toy steam engines

      Scale models for adult collectors

      Folk dolls and decorative dolls and other similar articles for adult collectors

      Sports equipment

      Aquatic equipment intended to be used in deep water

      Equipment intended to be used collectively in playgrounds

      Amusement machines (IEC 60335-2-82)

      Professional toys installed in public places(shopping centers, stations, etc.)

      Products containing heating elements intended for use under supervision of

      an adult in a teaching context

      Portable child-appealing luminaires (IEC60598-2-10)

      Christmas decoration
